Leyland cypress (Leylandii)

Leylandii hedging plants is a very popular choice in the UK to form quick privacy hedging. It is one of the fastest growing hedges which can grow between 75-100cm per year. It is a evergreen hedge and scaly like leaves which overlap one another.

Maintenance on leylandii should be quite regular throughout the year, if left to grow out of hand they can quickly become to high and dense to deal with without using a professional gardener, it is important not leave growth for to long as a hard prune can result in brown patches which will not regrow.

It can be planted in most ground conditions as long as the area is not permanently waterlogged, it can be placed in full sun, partial shade or shaded area's. We recommend to plant between 1-4 plants per metre depending on the initial density you desire.
