Cherry Laurels (Prunus Rotundifolia)
Prunus laurocerasus rotundifolia also known as a cherry laurel is one of the most popular hedging plants in the UK. They have a vibrant glossy green leaf with small white flower which appear from mid-late spring time, small cherry fruits then appear in the autumn months.
Cherry Laurels are very quick growing and have a growth rate of 30-60cm per year, they grow highly dense and are also evergreen which make them ideal for all year privacy screening. We recommend to trim cherry laurels twice a year to maintain density and shape.
Cherry laurels are very adaptable to most ground conditions and can be planted in full sun, partial shade and some shaded areas. We recommend to plant at 2-5 plants per metre depending on the initial density and height you desire.
