Prunus Lusitanica also known as a portuguese laurel is a large evergreen shrub, with pointed glossy dark green leaves with dark red stems. They produce a small white flower in early summer followed on by small cherry fruits in the autumn.

Prunus lusitanica is a very hardy shrub and can be grown in most conditions, it is ideally grown in moist but well drained soil and placed in the sun or partial shade and can be grown in dry areas. We recommend to plants between 2-5 per metre depending on the initial density you desire
