Red robin (Photinia fraseri)

Photinia fraseri also known as a red robin is a evergreen shrub, it has long glossy dark green leaves which originally start as red leaves. If left unpruned white flowers can appear in the spring time. Phontinia fraseri is not commonly used as a hedging plant as it isn't known to be dense however it with its large shaped leaves it can offer good privacy.

Phontinia Fraseri is a hardy shrub but likes to be planted in moist but well drained ground conditions, It prefers full sun conditions but can be placed in partial shade. It grows between 25-40cm per year and only needs a little maintenance throughout the year. We recommend to plant between 2-3 per metre depending on the initial density you desire.
